My go to granola

When it comes to most store bought granola, most are laden with high amounts of unnecessary sugar so that is why I opt to make my own!

And it really is so simple to make a batch of delicious granola! I love to mix and match the ingredients, nuts and seeds, flavours and even add in additional dark chocolate or cacao nibs!

This is a great recipe for the whole family and a great one for the kids to get involved in making!

Crunchy Nutty Granola

1/2 cup jumbo rolled oats

1 cup flaked coconut

1 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup dessicated coconut

1 cup walnuts

1 cup pecans

1 cup Brazil nuts

2 ripe banana

4 tbsp tahini

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp Ceylon cinnamon

In a bowl add the pumpkin and sunflower seeds, oats, coconut, pecans, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cinnamon and mix together

In a small bowl add the banana and mash well, add the tahini and extra virgin olive oil and mix together

Add this to the mix and stir through making sure to coat everything.

Pour onto a baking tray and spread our leaving some spaces to allow air to circulate (this will help to make it go crispy)

Pop into a pre heated oven at 150c for around 15-20 minutes or until golden and crisp
